BookBazaar is a free peer-to-peer used book marketplace built by YourNotebook — India's trusted online stationery store. It connects students who want to sell their old books with students who need affordable textbooks.

Think of it as OLX, but exclusively for books — with features designed specifically for students.

How to Buy Books

1. Browse or Search — Visit yournotebook.in/bookbazaar and search for the book you need
2. Filter Results — Use filters for category, condition, price, board, class, and distance
3. View Details — Check photos, condition, seller badges, and description
4. Express Interest — Click "I'm Interested" (requires login). The seller gets notified.
5. Contact Seller — Once the seller accepts, you'll see their WhatsApp/phone number
6. Meet & Buy — Arrange a meetup, inspect the book, and pay directly (cash, UPI, etc.)

How to Sell Books

1. Click "Sell Your Books" — Go to yournotebook.in/bookbazaar/sell
2. Upload Photos — Take clear photos (up to 3 images, 5MB max each)
3. Add Details — Title, author, category, condition, board, class, subject
4. Set Price — Enter your asking price (or see the suggested price)
5. Add Location — GPS auto-detects, or enter manually
6. Submit — Login required at this step. Your listing goes live!
7. Wait for Buyers — Interested buyers will contact you via WhatsApp/phone
8. Close the Deal — Meet the buyer, hand over the book, collect payment

How to Donate Books

Same process as selling, but select "Donate" instead of "Sell" as the listing type. Price is automatically set to ₹0. You'll earn the Book Donor badge on your profile.

• Phone Verified — Login via OTP confirms real phone number
• YN Shopper — Has purchased from YourNotebook's main store
• Trusted Dealer — 3+ successful deals with 4+ star average rating
• Book Donor — Has donated at least 1 book
• Repeat Dealer — 5+ books sold or donated

Safety Tips for Buyers

• Always meet in public places (college campus, cafe, metro station)
• Inspect the book before paying — check all pages are intact
• Prefer sellers with Trust Badges
• Pay via UPI for a digital record
• If something feels off, walk away — there are plenty of listings

Safety Tips for Sellers

• Meet buyers in public, daytime locations
• Don't share personal addresses — use a neutral meetup point
• Collect payment before handing over books
• If a buyer makes unreasonable demands, decline politely

Reporting & Fraud Protection

BookBazaar has built-in reporting. If someone behaves inappropriately:

• Use the "Report" button on their listing or profile
• After 3 reports, the user is automatically blocked
• Blocked users can't create listings or contact sellers
